Nowadays, you can find a Stratocaster in just about every price point you can imagine. Back in the day, if you wanted a strat, you got the one they had available: an American Strat. In 1965, Fender aquired the Squier string company, and by 1982, it bagan using the name to market its more affordable, made in Japan guitars. Ask anyone who’s played one of these vintage Squier guitars, and they’ll tell you, they hold their own with even today’s nicer Fender instruments. Don’t sleep on this guy!
